On Friday 21st March 2014 all key stage 1 and key stage 2 took part in a crystal maze day. Each child was put into a group that contained children from every year group. Once the group met they had to solve different mathematical challenges in each classroom. Each year group was a different country. Year 1 were Africa, Year 2 were China, Year 3 were Egypt, Year 4 were India and Year 5/6 were Europe.
If the children sucessfully completed the mathematical challenge they gained a crystal. The group will the most crystals went into the crystal maze in the afternoon in the hall. Each child from the winning group had 2 minutes to collect as many silver pieces of paper as possible from the maze. The winning group received a certificate and prize.
