Dan and Tina from Tarmac came to visit us. Our topic this half term is Journeys, and we have been talking about how someone has to build and look after the roads that we travel on to make our journeys. Dan told us all about the lights and the crash cushion at the back of the lorry and explained how the lights make an arrow to tell traffic which way to go. We really enjoyed watching the lights rising up out of the back of the lorry and the crash cushion lowering down and going back up again. We were very lucky as Tarmac were very generous and left us lots of cones, road signs, lights, hard hats and high visibility jackets to use in our construction area. We have been very busy building lots of roads since they came. Thank you Tarmac!
