Keeping Children Safe

Working Together To Keep Everybody Happy

At Berry Hill Primary School we take great pride in ensuring children feel safe and happy. To enable this to happen we have lots of policies and procedures in place. One of the ways we keep children safe is through teaching children about bullying and the effects it can have.

The Anti-Bullying Alliance defines bullying as…

The repetitive, intentional hurting of one person or group by another person or group, where the relationship involves an imbalance of power. Bullying can be physical, verbal or psychological. It can happen face-to-face or online.

As a school, we always encourage children to tell an adult if they have any concerns about bullying. If they do not feel they can tell someone they can write a worry down and use our worry boxes. Every classroom has their own worry box. Additionally, we also have a specific bullying worry box located on the Anti-Bullying display outside year 5 classrooms. Alternatively you could use the form below to report any concerns to school. Please ensure you put your child’s full name, class and details about any concerns.

Andy and the Odd Socks - 'UNIQUE'

So here is our first official video guys. A big thank you to all the children, mums and dads for helping us make the video. You were all amazing. 'Unique' will be on our album 'Who Invited This Lot' released on 24th November 2017.

Odd Socks Day 15.11.17

It looked a little bit like we’d all got dressed in the dark today…but there was a very good reason for us wearing our odd socks!

We have been doing lots for anti-bullying week and wearing our odd socks for the day was part of our themed week. Our odd socks helped us to show that we’re all unique, different and we don’t all have to match one another. It’s ok for us all to be different.

Here is a copy of our Anti-Bullying Policy - One of our policies to ensure all children are kept happy and safe.
Please take a look at the governors page to see who is responsible for key areas around school.
