In May 2015 we were successful in renewing our Healthy Schools Status. Our school leadership, policies, culture and environment support and value a positive environment that promotes physical and emotional health and well-being. This is done through teaching and learning, provision of support services and partnerships with parents/carers and the local community.
We encourage and value a culture of healthy eating and exercise, for example through PE and playground games and ensuring drinking water is accessible throughout the day. Children are given a voice through School Council, Investors in Pupils and child initiated topics in the classroom, allowing them greater understanding and ownership of their own health and well-being.
