Lots of information and a materials quiz. Can you use the words on the properties of materials posters to describe the different materials you find on your hunt?

Now use the labels to do your very own materials hunt at home. Happy Hunting! Don't forget to send us a photo of your hunt to workqueries@berryhill.notts.sck.uk

WEEK 2

Our focus this week is to find out how shapes can be changed by squashing, bending, twisting and stretching.
Listen to the story being told here.

Now here is the fun part!

We can't wait to see what you create.

Make your own scrap forest by changing the materials you build with in different ways.

Here are some pictures to give you a few ideas. We hope to create our own too so keep an eye on twitter!

You could make some animals for your scrap forest using play dough or salt dough too.

WEEK 3

Changing Materials

This week at home investigate changing materials. What can you change by heating, cooling, freezing or dissolving? Have some fun but make sure you ASK AN ADULT first to help you choose what you can change and how.

Explore these websites to get some ideas.
Take a look at these for some more ideas.

Have fun!

We can't wait to see what you discover in your investigations.
