Welcome

I would like to offer visitors to our website a warm welcome to Berry Hill Primary School and Nursery.  We hope that you find our site both interesting and informative.

Berry Hill is extremely proud of our pupils, supportive parents, inspirational staff and forward-thinking governors - who are all collaborating to create a happy, secure, stable and caring environment in which children can develop to the full.

The aim of our website is to give you as much information as possible about our school, the staff and the many activities that our children enjoy through our curriculum and our extra-curricular activities. It is however just one part of our communication offering alongside Facebook, X (formerly Twitter @BHPSMansfield) and ClassDojo for parents of children currently attending.

Our school ethos is built on a simple approach - inspiring our children to 'be kind', 'work hard' and 'be brave'. On a personal note, the world seems to be changing at a faster rate than ever at present. Raising children has never been more challenging and families have never had less time or faced more pressure to continually compromise - and high-quality, effective, nurturing and supportive schools have never been needed more.

We know that the quickly evolving landscape of Artificial Intelligence means that many jobs and roles that exist today, may not continue to do so, and also that many of the jobs and roles that Berry Hill pupils may embark upon in the future, may not even currently exist. With this in mind, we know that developing the human side of our pupils has never been more important. Whilst AI may provide all the information, data and text in the future, what it cannot do is stand in front of a room, a panel or an audience and convey ideas with personable conviction. Berry Hill Primary School is committed to developing our pupils into confident speakers - able to present, debate, reason and explain, all with clarity and confidence, and our curriculum and pedagogy is designed around delivering this.
