Nottinghamshire community and voluntary controlled schools
Nottinghamshire County Council’s (NCC) admission arrangements for 2027-2028 were approved on 12 February 2026. Following a call-in period of 5 days, the arrangements are now determined and available on the public website. See links above.
The admission arrangements for all own admission authority schools in the Nottinghamshire area will be made available on NCC's public website when they are received by the County Council.
Objections to admission arrangements for 2027–2028 of both maintained schools and academies can be made to the Schools Adjudicator, who may investigate admission arrangements of any school that the Adjudicator considers do not, or may not, comply with the mandatory requirements of the School Admissions Code or the law. Nottinghamshire County Council School Admission Arrangements Consultation 2028 – 2029
Nottinghamshire’s annual consultation on admission arrangements for community and voluntary controlled schools is now open. The County Council, as the admission authority for community and voluntary controlled schools, is required by the School Admissions Code to determine admission arrangements annually. Any changes have to be consulted upon prior to determination.
This year, the consultation for the admission arrangements for 2028-2029 for all community and voluntary controlled schools in Nottinghamshire will be open between 5 October 2026 and 22 November 2026.
